Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · effective October 9, 2026

Brands pay up front for real people to take part in campaigns. People join, do the work, submit proof, and are paid once the proof is approved. These terms explain how that works, what each side promises, and how money moves.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and the company that operates the CROWVY platform in the United Arab Emirates ("CROWVY", "we", "us"). They apply to the website, the apps and every service we offer through them (the "Platform").

By creating an account or using the Platform you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Platform for a company, you confirm that you may bind that company, and "you" includes it.

2. Words we use

  • Brand: a business that creates and pays for campaigns.
  • Participant: an individual who takes part in campaigns and is paid for approved work.
  • Campaign: a paid task set by a brand — a real-world activity at a place and time, or content to create.
  • Seat: one paid place on a campaign. Seat pay is the amount the brand sets for one seat.
  • Proof: the photos, videos, files, links and check-in records that show the work was done.
  • Balance: approved earnings credited to a participant's account and available to withdraw.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under UAE law. Participants must complete identity verification before a place is confirmed; we confirm your age and identity through a verification provider.

Keep your details accurate and your sign-in codes private. One person may hold one participant account. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

Brands give accurate company details, including a valid trade licence where we ask for one, and keep them up to date.

4. Campaigns and brand responsibilities

A brand describes its campaign (what, where, when, who it is for, what proof is needed, and for content, how it may use the content), sets the seat pay and the number of seats, and pays before the campaign is published.

Brands are responsible for their campaigns and must make sure that each campaign, and everything participants are asked to do, is lawful in the UAE. In particular a campaign must not:

  • promote anything illegal, or gambling, illegal drugs, weapons, or adult content;
  • break UAE media, advertising or consumer-protection rules, make misleading claims, or need a permit the brand does not hold;
  • offend public morals, religion or national symbols, or concern political matters;
  • put anyone at risk, require entry to private property without permission, or ask participants to film or photograph people without their consent;
  • ask participants to break a law, a venue's rules, or a third party's rights.

We may refuse, pause or cancel a campaign that breaks these Terms or the law. Where a campaign needs a permit (for example for activity in a public place), the brand obtains it.

5. Payment, fees and refunds for brands

The brand pays the total seat pay for all seats plus a service fee of 5% (and VAT where it applies) when it funds the campaign. The minimum seat pay is AED 100. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see full card details.

The money is kept for the campaign and is released to a participant only when that participant's proof is approved. It is never released for a seat that is not filled or not approved.

Money for seats that are never used — seats nobody filled, places withdrawn, proof finally rejected — is refunded to the brand when the campaign closes, together with the service fee on those seats. A brand can cancel a campaign and receive a full refund at any time before anyone's place is confirmed; after that, cancellation is handled by our team and confirmed participants may be compensated for their time.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Banks and card issuers may take some days to show them.

6. Taking part as a participant

You can see the campaigns you are eligible for, with the pay you will receive, the effort, the proof needed and the schedule. Some campaigns are first come, first served; others let the brand choose; private campaigns are by invitation.

When you accept, your place is held for 30 minutes while you finish any missing steps (identity, payout details, and for content campaigns accepting the usage terms). Your place is confirmed once every step is done. The exact meeting point is shown only to confirmed participants.

You can withdraw without penalty until 24 hours before a campaign starts. Later withdrawals and not turning up are recorded and may limit the campaigns offered to you.

You agree to do the work as described, honestly and safely, to follow the law and the rules of any place you visit, and to submit only genuine proof of work you did yourself.

7. Proof, review and disputes

Proof is reviewed by the brand or by our team, as the campaign states. Reviewers approve it, ask once for changes, or reject it with a reason. Artificial intelligence may help check proof, but a person always makes any decision that affects your pay.

If changes are requested you have 48 hours to resubmit. If your proof is rejected you can open a dispute within 7 days; our team reviews it and either upholds the rejection or approves the proof. Our decision on a dispute is final for the purposes of the Platform, without affecting your rights under law.

8. Getting paid

When your proof is approved, the seat pay less our commission of 20% is added to your balance.

Your balance is yours to withdraw at any time, in full or in part, to a bank account in your own name that you have added and verified. We do not set a minimum withdrawal or hold your earnings. Your bank may charge its own fees and processing times may vary.

We may hold or reverse an amount only where we reasonably suspect fraud — for example fake or reused proof, false location data, or multiple accounts — while we investigate, or where the law or a competent authority requires it. We will tell you why unless we are not allowed to.

You are an independent participant, not our employee or the brand's employee. You are responsible for any permit or licence your activity requires — including any advertiser permit required under UAE media rules for paid promotional content you publish — and for your own tax affairs.

9. Content and usage rights

You keep ownership of the content you create. For each content campaign you accept, you grant the brand the right to use that content on the channels, for the period and in the territory shown on the campaign — and for paid advertising only where the campaign says so. You grant us a licence to store, display and process it to run the Platform and to report to the brand.

You confirm your content is your own original work, does not infringe anyone's rights, and that anyone identifiable in it has agreed to appear.

10. Platform rules

Do not misuse the Platform. In particular, do not:

  • create fake accounts, impersonate anyone, or hold more than one participant account;
  • submit fake, edited-to-deceive or someone else's proof, or falsify your location;
  • arrange payment for a campaign outside the Platform to avoid fees;
  • harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
  • interfere with, scrape, or try to break the Platform's security.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and remove content that breaks them or the law.

11. Automated tools

We use automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to suggest campaign drafts, explain why a person matches a campaign, and help check proof. They only make suggestions. They never reject a participant or proof, cancel a payment or set a price; a person decides. They never use sensitive characteristics such as religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, health or age (beyond confirming you are 18 or older).

12. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time once you have no campaign in progress and have withdrawn your balance. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, for fraud, or where the law requires; where we close an account for reasons other than fraud, any balance remains yours to withdraw.

13. Our responsibility

We provide the Platform with reasonable care and skill, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. Brands are responsible for their campaigns and participants for their own conduct; we are not a party to what they agree between them beyond running the Platform and holding the campaign money as described.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or reputation, and our total liability to you in connection with the Platform is limited to the fees you paid us (or, for a participant, the commission we earned from your work) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

You will compensate us for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or of the law, or by content you provide.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. We will tell you before a material change takes effect, and you will be asked to accept the new version before you continue using the Platform. Campaigns already funded keep the fees and terms agreed when they were funded.

15. Law, disputes and language

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any right you have under law to bring a claim elsewhere. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly.

These Terms are published in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
